I made the switch to Fedora 6 when it came out and it has filled many of the gaps previous Linux distros had (wireless, multi-monitor support, etc). It’s by NO MEANS perfect and may still not fit for those coming from Windows but I’m actually able to use it fairly painlessly. I’m also using WINE to run Dreamweaver and Fireworx which are my ‘must haves’ from the Windows world.
Short story — it can work, but it can be frustrating.
