Actionopolis is Back!

[singlepic id=186 w=320 h=240 float=right]This has been ramping up all summer, but the announcement officially came down today: Actionopolis is back!

Actionopolis is the book like featuring high-octane, high-adventure prose fiction by a myriad of talented writers from comics, film, video games and the like. The company initially published seven well-received books, including my Heir to Fire: Gila Flats novel, which was illustrated by Mike Dubisch.

Now they’re back with a new wave of 16 new books for the Amazon Kindle platform. The new books include my long-awaited Legend of Tigerfist: Enter the Tiger as well as the sequel Heir to Fire: Zephyr Mesa.

You might be saying, “b-bu-but I love Actionopolis books, but I don’t have an Amazon Kindle reader.”

Well, did you know that Kindle books can now be read on your Mac, PC, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Blackberry or Android device as well as the Kindle reader? Just download the right app for your device!

Broken Frontier (and other sites) has the complete scoop.

Loki & Heimdall Cover Art

The last two story books that I authored for Magic Wagon’s Short Tales line focus on the characters of Norse Myth: Loki and Heimdall. They’re available for pre-order now on Amazon for a September release.

These books were fun to write. They required a bit of research as I’m not as versed in Norse mythology as I am in Greek. I didn’t really realize when I drew this pair that their stories overlapped so much, with Heimdall clashing directly with Loki at Ragnarok.

The covers below are the first artwork I’ve seen from them. In fact, it’s from them that I’m learning that comic book artist Brandon McKinney (Spider-Man, Godzilla!!!) illustrated the Loki book. Comic book artist Shawn Moll (She-Hulk, Friday the 13th) drew the Heimdall book. Can’t wait to see the interiors.

Other books in the line include Odin by Shannon Eric Denton and Mark Bloodworth, Thor by Denton and Mateus Santolouco, Freya by Christopher E. Long and Mike Dubisch and Tyr by Long and Dubisch.

Fanboy Planet Review: Scratch9 #1

[singlepic id=171 w=320 h=240 float=right]Scratch9 got a sweet review from Fanboy Planet who writes:

Scratch9 has a dynamite hook and solid, kid-friendly storytelling that still plays decently for adults — who will be reading it to their kids over and over again.
