Tony Isabella fired up about “Heir to Fire”

Actionopolis books got an tremendous mention in the Tony’s Tips column of the latest issue of Comics Buyer’s Guide (#1626). Tony Isabella liked all seven of the books but I was very pleased that he gave “Heir to Fire” highest marks.

Here’s what Tony wrote:

This feels and reads like a really good Marvel comic of the 1970s or so….It?s big fun that would work well on the big screen. It earns the full five out of five Tonys plus the special ‘Best of Show’ ribbon.

“Heir to Fire” is obviously influenced by Marvel’s big monsters. I’m a huge fan of Isabella’s giant monster comics of the 1970s. In fact it was his “It: The Living Colossus” mini-series that introduced me to Fin Fang Foom, the graddaddy of all of Kirby’s big beasts.

So, it does my heart good to read Isabella’s review.
