Noted internet book reviewer Harriet Klausner took a peek at “Heir to Fire” and liked what she saw.
…an exciting horror story in which young readers will identify with the reluctant hero, a reticent teen who tries to do his best to defeat evil. The characters are realistic and the audience will find themselves rooting for the hero to defeat the monsters. The illustrations are well drawn enhancing the fascinating storyline.
I didn’t know who Harriet was but this Wired feature on her from 2002 said she’s the top-ranked independent reviewer at Amazon.com. I poked around Amazon and found the current ranking…she’s still #1, based on the number of people who rated her reviews as “helpful”.
