Good Vibes for “Heir to Fire”

Wow…it’s been a really good week (or ten days) for “Heir to Fire”. We’ve been getting great coverage of the book from the comic press at Newsarama.com, CBR and Pulse.

The book also got a nice review at FantasyBookSpot.com.

But the very best thing was hearing from the mother who had picked up one of the preview copies at Book Expo America and passed it along to her young son, a reluctant reader who’s more into comic books and baseball than prose novels…

I came across the Actionopolis books I had a feeling that they might be just what my son would enjoy and the guys at the booth kindly gave me copy of Heir to Fire.

He LOVED the book – he could not put it down and read it in 2 days. FINALLY a book he enjoyed. He’s now telling all his friends about it and his teacher was so thrilled she’s thinking of adding it to their in school reading list. He wants to read more but they are not out yet.

I don’t think it’s hard to figure out that I wrote “Heir to Fire” for the young reader in me…the one that loves cool monster, creepy villains and super-charged adventure. It’s the same for Mike Dubisch, I think. The reaction from this reader tells me we’re not alone in that and, perhaps, we’ve done something right with this book.

When you read on the Actionopolis.com website that our books are about delivering FUN stories…believe it!
