I’ve been friends with the guys that run the excellent Komikwerks.com for a good long time now, and I’ve finally decided to do a story for one of the upcoming print anthologies. It won’t be the “Thrills and Chills” book that’s due out in the summer, but the next one after that.
I’m working with my good friend, artist Carleton Smith, who makes his professional debut in “Thrills and Chills” with a little something called “Fable Family“. That story is written by another pal, Darryl Kravitz (better known to comics fans as Darryl Taylor, the co-creator of “Chassis”).
Our story is a fun little genre-blending romp. It’ll be ten pages and will serve as the setup to the larger ongoing series. As usual, I’m keeping the details hidden until we’re closer to publication and going with the cryptic codename “Elemon”.
This past week was fun because Carl started shooting some characters designs at me. So far, everything looks sweet! A few of the more colorful characters in the book haven’t been rendered yet (including my favorite charcter…Elemon), so I’m dying to see those.
So far so fun!
