Augie De Blieck writes in his Pipeline column at CBR:
CBR’s own Rob Worley — we still think of him that way — saw the debut of YOUNG ANCIENT ONE in the pages of EPIC ILLUSTRATED #1 last week. I’ll be reviewing it next week, but I can tell you right now that it’s a fun read evocative of both kung fu movies and classic Spider-Man stories all at the same time.
Looking forward to that review, Augie!

And I promise that when I do write it, I’ll get the name of the damned book correct. ARGH!
Old habits die hard, I guess.
And I also seem to have written myself into a corner. After that little blurb, I’ve just about said all I have to say about the story. Fear not — I’ll expand on it like a pro. =)

Well Jonah pays by the word, right? So use as many as you can.
Actually, I’m not sure why they didn’t use Epic Illustrated. The whole pretext for the anthology was to leverage the popularity of the Epic name (or so I was told).
But, Rob, to be fair: They told you a lot of stuff. Didn’t they? 😉

I love it, the popularity of the Epic name … popular? It’s been gone for 248 years, how can it still be popular?
Well…I said that’s what they told us. I didn’t say I BELIEVED it.
No wonder why you didn’t become a breakout success at Marvel.
You Must BELIEVE!

Using the Epic name is one thing, but it was so small on there, what with the modified Sleepwalker logo dominating it…
Hmmmm….it almost seems as if their reason makes no sense at all! Could it be there were other reasons as well? 🙄
It is pretty rough… I remember when I first got the book and flipped through it… saw the intended YAO cover as a regular page and winced… NOT cool.
