So yesterday was “comics Wednesday” and, naturally, I’m in the comic store. My retailer (Tom) asks the latest on the Epic drama and reminds me that this is the last week for retailers to increase their orders on the Anthology. He pulls out the Diamond bulletin and checks and tells me that the reorder bulletin INCORRECTLY lists the Anthology as being priced at $8.99 AGAIN.
“This is what retailers will use to decide if they need to increase their orders,” Tom says and then pantomimes reading from the bulletin, “‘Do I need more Epic Anthology? At $8.99? Nope.”
Sadly Tom is correct. This is detrimental to a book that already has a lot going against it. So, let me take up my lance once more and remind any retailers who may be put off by the erroneous price that the correct price is actually $5.99. Please base your decisions on that.
