Apparently I’m going to be a guest on some kind of online radio talk show today. The folks at New Black City have invited me on to talk comics.
I’ll be a guest on a show called “The Afternoon Blackout With Uncle Rudy” which runs for 12:00 to 3:00 CST. I guess I’m slated to come on at 12:30 CST (2:30 ET, 11:30 PT). I’m told “Uncle Rudy” really is the Uncle of rap star Nelly.
I don’t know much about New Black City. The website says the programming is “the most controversial and entertaining talk radio available any time on the planet.”
Anyhow, I’ll be totally unprepared and will probably make an ass of myself. We should start a little contest right now to guess how many times I’ll say, “uh” and other crutch noises. Assuming I’ll be on for about three minutes, I’m guessing 26 “uh”s.
UPDATE: I’m typing this while I’m still on the line with Uncle Rudy. Very, very strange happenings. They put me on the air and then shoved me off to the side for another guest. Hilarious.
I’ll hang in for a few more minutes, but them I’m going to hang up.
Excellent! Congratulations. Isn’t radio fun? I should start trying to convince Jonah that we need to start up WCBR as an all-talk station for comics.
Then I’ll talk him into settling on Pipeline Radio Commentaries… heh heh I am the center of my world, after all.

First, none of this WCBR crap … KCBR is where it’s at, bro!
Second, DUDE, Rob, send me an e-mail the next time you’re gonna get your dope self on some strange ass radio station! We could have hyped it up in the Comic Reel, giving Uncle Rudy 10 more listeners!
Oh, the bitter irony of http://www.kcbr.com/ being used by a group calling themselves the KRYPTON City Blues Revue.
And what a gosh-awful web site design they have. It proudly proclaims itself to be best viewed with MSIE 4 or better.
But, then, the bottom does also note, “This page was updated on 12-Dec-2101”
