Last week the news broke that Marvel was undergoing some managerial changes, with Epic founder Bill Jemas moving from his COO position to a newly created CMO. Some speculated that this was the begining of a move to transition Jemas out of the company.
Today Newsarama.com published a statement from Jemas giving his perspective on the reorganization.
“Today, I?d like to say publicly what I have told my friends in private. This has been a voluntary and important transition,” Jemas said. “I continue to support, help guide and implement the management changes at Marvel, and I am very much looking forward to the new challenges I will have with respect to my own role within the company.”
