Andy Kuhn is off penciling and inking his little rock-star fingers to the bone and the pages from “Young Ancient One” are rolling in.
Man! Is this exciting for me!
I’ve not had the experience of creating something like YAO in words and then have someone render it visually. A little of it looks like I imagined it. Most of it looks so much better!
I got a page on Monday in which we see the villain’s lair for the first time. What Andy drew was something so cool and unique…I’m giddy!
Bill Crabtree also turned in the finalized colors on the cover to issue 1 this week. It’s a kick ass work of art.
Sadly, I can’t show any of the pages. It’s really up to Marvel to release that stuff. However, as pages are released to the public I’ll be collecting them here in the gallery. You can click the thumbnail above to see Bill’s preliminary colors to the first issue, as well as a few other pieces of YAO art.
In other news, Marvel is close to scheduling the book. For a while it looked like we’d be in next month’s catalog, but because of the Epic learning curve and all the pitfalls therein, it’s now looking like we’ll be in the November catalog for a February release.
I’ll probably be launching the YAO mini-site next week and there’ll be some freebees for interested readers.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet…….
